4 Steps To Promote My Blog

Create Quality Content:

You may often heard this saying: ” Content is King.” Obviously Content is King. But I want to say that “Quality content is King” and create quality content. Every blog has some content but only a few of them has quality content. So, make your content into King that can dominate the market.

What is quality content?

Quality content is simply the content has been created for site visitor, to provide them information which is useful or enjoyable.

When you writing an article for blog readers, ask yourself ” would you enjoy this article (which one is currently writing) if someone write it? or do you like it to read if someone do it? If you ask it yourself and consider the answer, I think you will be able to write quality content.

Go to Social Media:

After creating quality content, what do you want to do? Look for SEO or Social Media? I recommend You to be social. Why? Look at the image bellow:

When you created quality content, you will not get visitor, because it is new and nobody knows about it and also search engines will not give it exposure for the reason that it has no incoming link. So, Then you must look forward to social media in order to get visitor and backlink. Google thinks backlinks are spontaneous, when people find your article useful they will link back you. So you will get backlink. You can get backlink manually in many ways (I don’t want to explain it here). But Google will not count of them. Google has its own algorithm to determine which are natural and which are spammy.

How to make people know about my blog?

Stumble Upon: Stumble upon is a great source of traffic for blogger. Stumblers (who use SU) may find your site by clicking on “stumble!” button on SU toolbar.  Stumble upon shows articles randomly to stumbler according to their interest. The more people like your article the more chance to get visitor from Stumble Upon.

Don’t be Greedy: Although, stumble upon refers the visitor to your blog. You should not submit all of your posts, only submit quality articles. Why should I not stumble all of my posts? If you submit all of your articles including the “rubbish one”. People will “dislike” the rubbish article. If so, SU may not ban you, but will ban your site. If it happens you will lose everything. So don’t be greedy.

If you are a SU user, When you find any article useful, you should add the article to your to favorite. It will help to find the article again and this will help other stumblers to find it and also help to rank up your profile on SU.

Digg: Digg is well-known social bookmarking site and may be the biggest one. They allow to submit your own article. If your article get more Diggs, your article will be shown on the first page on digg. If you really create a great article, people will do it and you will get XXXX’s of visitors for a single article.

Twitter: Twitter is famous for micro blogging. You can update your status on twitter with a link of your article.Your followers will see it and you will get the visitor. The most active time on twitter is 4PM to 6PM (GMT). Twitting on this period ensure more visitor.

FaceBook: Facebook is the biggest social networking site. You should share your article with your FB friends and it will give you visitor.

Look For SEO Result:

If you successfully done the previous two steps, people will start linking back the article and you should make sure that your blog is accessible to search engines. SEO should happen. I believe that SEO will happen if you get backlink.( I’m not writing about any on page SEO because this article has already become too long. You will get more info about “on page optimization” on upcoming post). Just wait and see how SEO happens and you get Search engine traffic.

Make Your Visitor Social:

When you are getting visitor from other websites (By the Link) and from Search engines you should make them social. How to make them social? You may offer them to subscribe to your FEED or to Subscribe to your mailing list to get free updates. You may offer them to follow you on twitter or to be your Facebook FAN. It will help them to return to your blog.
