5 Reasons, Why You Should Care About Adsense?

by Eunus Hosen

Hello Everyone,

I think, you all know about adsense. If you’re in blogsphare for a while, you may have noticed that it is a too-discussed topic in Blogsphare. So that I haven’t write any article about adsense here in this blog.

Yesterday (26 Jun 2010), Darren Rowse published a post on problogger: Income Split for May 2010

The reports looks like bellow:
image of income split of may 2010

The report shows, Darren’s biggest money maker program is adsense. 25% of his total income comes from adsense. The report doesn’t show the exact figure, it shows the percentage of the revenue earned from the sources.

Although I’m not a problogger, I’m a hobby blogger, adsense is also my biggest money maker. OK….. Let me split out the reasons why you should care about adsense?

Adsense is an Opportunity:

Yeah! Adsense is an opportunity to earn money with your blog and website. Adsense allows publishers to show advertisement(s) on their blog and website. When people (visitors) click through these ads, Google will share a portion of the revenue with publisher, charged from the advertiser.

No, visitors will be visiting your blog for all day long, after a while they will leave your blog. So while there is an opportunity to earn some money for sending your visitors to others, so why not grab the chance?

Adsense to ADD SENSE:

If you are a content (text, podcast, video) marketer, you can use adsense to ADD SENSE to your audience.

For example: If you’ve written a post about photoshop tutorial, after reading this tutorial, your visitor will search for more tutorials. If you place an adsense ad block after the post, they will see some related links there, they will be happy to see these links and they will click through the link. Thus you will be paid for adding SENSE to your visitors.

Adsense is a Brand:

You know adsense doesn’t accept all the website (or Blog). They accepts only the sites they think useful. So, if your blog gets adsense approval, it indicates your blog is worthy!

Although, this sense always doesn’t work; think that I got adsense approval for one of my other blog, but I’m showing adsese on this blog (This blog may not be worthy in Google’s eye……… LoL….)

Adsense Takes Less Efforts:

To make money with Adsense, you don’t have to create any landing page or don’t have to persuade people to click through the ads (and also you can’t do this as it against adsense terms and conditions).

You just have to copy the code and paste it anywhere, you want to show adsense ads. You have to optimize ads (i.e. placement, color, and size choosing) for a single time and it will work for life.

Adsense Helps to Target visitors:

If you link your adsense account with your Google Analytics account, you’ll be able to track your earnings by traffic sources. For example, if you see that traffic from a source is working well (that means clicking on ads) then you’ll be able to take a wise decision to target the source to get more traffic.

To Your Success 2010 :)

P.S. This is a call to action article, this article has no information about adsense optimization. It is just a motivation article to make you aware about adsense. I’ve written this article because there are many people think that adsense is not the best way to make money. It is the biggest money maker for the best problogger, so should you not care about it?

P.P.S. I’ll write about adsense optimization in order to boost your adsense income. So if you want to increase your adsense income, I suggest you to read my upcoming articles. You may subscribe my post by e-mail to be notified about next post.

Thank’s Alamin for your support. I’ve decided to write a series of adsense but it may not contain 10 posts. But I’ll write. Be updated with me.

Nice to hear it.

Yap adsense is a brand I agree with this complement. But do you know that the earning income is better when you have a countable number of visitors and they click in it. Otherwise just wait and wait to get a handsome amount of 100 dollars.

Thank you Rony for your comment. Yes without a significant number of visitors, earning $100 through Adsense is time consuming.
You should know that it is not only applicable only for adsense, it is also applicable for any kind of blog money maker. So, IT’S ALL ABOUT TRAFFIC.

Excellent info.
Sad that i do not have adsense but currently using adbrite. Some say its a great alternative for adsense.
What do you think about it?

Hello Mushfiqe,
I’ve used adbrite last year, their CPC rate is extremely low. Their CPM also very low, they paid me only $0.79 per1000′s view. So, I’ve left them after using for couple of weeks. I’m not telling that it is not good, I’m just telling that it doesn’t work for me. If you haven’t yet approved by adsense, you may use it. I want to let you reminder an old saying, “SOMETHING IS BETTER THAN NOTHING”
Best of Luck :)
